CAKE CARE
AS THESE CAKES ARE SO DELICATE, I WANTED TO GIVE YOU SOME HELPFUL TIPS THAT MY CLIENTS APPRECIATED IN THE PAST. WHEN PICKING UP/CARRYING A CAKE. HOLD ON TO THE BOTTOM AND KEEP IT FLAT. DO NOT HOLD THE BOX TO THE SIDES, AS THEY ARE THIN AND WILL SMASH AND DAMAGE YOUR CAKE. ONCE YOU GET HOME, PLEASE PLACE THE CAKE IN THE FRIDGE STRAIGHT AWAY.
IF YOU ARE TRANSPORTING YOUR CAKE, ALWAYS PLACE THE BOX ON THE FLOOR IN THE CAR. (NOT THE TRUNK) AND MAKE SURE YOUR CAR IS COOL UPON ARRIVAL AND KEEP THE AIR CONDITIONING ON UNTIL YOU GET HOME. THE CAKE WILL BE OK IN THE COLD CAR FOR UP TO 1-1.5 HOURS. IF YOU ARE PLANNING A LONG DRIVE, I WOULD RECOMMEND GETTING AN ICEBOX TO TRANSPORT THE CAKE.
BEFORE CUTTING THE CAKE, TAKE IT OUT ONLY 30 MINUTES TO 1 HOUR BEFORE SERVING, TO ALLOW IT TO REACH ROOM TEMPERATURE. THIS IS WHEN IT TASTES THE BEST! NEVER LEAVE THE CAKE IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT. MAKE SURE TO USE A HOT AND DRY KNIFE WHILE CUTTING THE CAKE. YOU CAN HEAT THE KNIFE UNDER A TAP WITH HOT WATER, THEN WIPE OFF EXCESS WATER WITH A PAPER TOWEL AND SLICE THE CAKE. AFTER EACH CUT YOU WILL NEED TO WIPE THE KNIFE TO MAKE SURE THE SLICES ARE BEAUTIFUL.
PLEASE ENJOY THE CAKE IN THE NEXT 2 DAYS, AS IT ALWAYS TASTES THE BEST FRESH. I USE ONLY NATURAL INGREDIENTS, SO MY CAKES DON'T LAST LONGER THAN THAT :) I AM SURE, YOU WILL HAVE NOTHING LEFT ANYWAY :)
